Another fun filled week at camp Hinds!!

Wow, Great announcements from Apples WWDC conference yesterday! Allowing the iOS devices to cut their umbilical cords and go out on their own as separate devices in their own right.. Very cool. While the information about Lion was interesting, the focus on iOS and the cloud capability that will set these devices free was the headline.

I am interested how google, amazon, microsoft, and RIM will react?

Vacation Time!!   Looking forward to Hilton Head and some nice southern Hospitality!!  Golf and R&R..

Ok, so on March 11th I did something I had never done before. I was one of the first in line for a product launch. The iPad 2 was to go on sale at 5pm that day. Having worked several nights recently, I took the day off to see about picking up the iPad 2. So after dropping my son of to school I stopped by the mall. At 8:45 there was already six people in line!! I became number seven.

The eight hours I spent in line was a great experience. I met people from all walks of life. A young man from originally from Switzerland who was picking one up for his long flight back home to visit. A third shift worker at a semiconductor factory who came straight over after his shift to be the first in line at 6 am. A convenience store worker who was being paid to sit in line. A grandmother who was holding a place in line for her grandson. And lastly, a young woman who bright her knitting to while away the time. It was a great group.

After eight hours in line they escorted us in one by one to get our iPads. It was fantastic. Having used the iPad for about a day now. I can say that it is a magical and revolutionary device. Btw, I posted this from my iPad.

OK. I blew away my wordpress by mistake about a month ago while revamping my weather web site.. Let’s try this again..
